2 weeks of basic military training.
But today I got my silver braid (symbolising my status as officer to-be). It's hard training, I'm so tired and sometimes I don't want to go on, but I still want to do it. If I didn't I wouldn't go back. I'd have gone long before now.
Yesterday I got up around o500, like every day. Then we started marching home around midnight(~7km) and took 80min. For our 5km march we took 52min. I twisted my ankle(s) twice (on unsteady ground) or so and now my left ankle is a bit swollen.
In two weeks I have my swearing-in ceremony. oo
But we started working on the G36 (same gun used by Gwen&Ianto in "Stolen Earth"), disassembling, reassembling, security checks... I can't wait for the shooting.

Tomorrow I have to buy loads of stuff (but today I ordered myself a black 160GB iPod). Did I mention that today my first pay was on my bank account?

Today I picked up my train ticket to get to Straubing from which a bus will take me ('n others) to the barracks of the 6. Sanitätslehrregiment Feldkirchen. Mwah! I'm excited, I'm happy.
I walked a bit through town and treated myself to a big maki-mix. Mwah! Everyone was eating ice cream, but I wanted sushi!!11!!!

In my amazon shopping basket I have loads of stuff I want to have, but I want to wait till my birthday...
Also, I think I want the Five Coat some costume seller on ebay offers. MWAH! I want that coat. Five is my hero.

Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, nachträglich,
[livejournal.com profile] cassy79&[livejournal.com profile] ninscha!
Viel Freude in eurem neuen Lebensjahr und einen großen Geschenkkorb voller Glück von mir. :D

Regina and I went to see St. David's. We took the train from Cardiff to Haverfordwest and from there the bus to St David's. It is indeed... small.
After we'd seen the Cathedral and everything we walked to Whitesands and St Davids Head. At the later we put up our camp.
We staid the night and walked back to St David's the next morning. From there we walked past St Non's and along the coast to Solva. There we had lunch, waited for the bus back to the station in Haverfordwest and took the train home.
I left home o900 on Saturday and came back 1900 yesterday.

And you might have noticed my new layout.
There are so many foxgloves around here, I just love them! And I remembered this Casanova quote and it just tickled me. I still need to change a few colours but I'm happy with what I got. (Even if I had to create a new layout to get rid of that damn base-layout in bloggish when creating a new theme-layer...)

Not scary. I'm sorry, but maybe it's just me loving the dark? I can't think of anything more perfect than walking home in a dark park/wood. Irrationally not afraid of the dark.
Still, not scared of shadows!
And some of the things were pretty obvious (statues, e.g., or the thing that happened to the one guy in a suit). Steven, you've had better episodes. Two-parters are obviously hard on everyone...

1. Reply to this post, and I will pick four of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee!!

Icon memeage! )

Also, today Doctor Who was shown on BBC Three again, so I could watch it without the kid and Jayne and everything. Just me and Bossy cuddling up on the sofa.
Still, thanks to Duke, Torchwood is turning into a fairy-world for me. Gah! And as [livejournal.com profile] planetkiller pointed out, Ianto is the wedding fairy anyway. That makes the Doctor a homunculus in a blue teapot and all problems solved. Well, save for the load of bunnies coming around now like [insert witty metaphor]. I'm currently drawing wings and tree-homes.

Also, finally my laptop arrived back home.
The built in a new motherboard, CPU, CPU fan (with heatpipe/sink, I guess). I just hope that the motherboard was responsible for my fan going out all the time, like the fan-control creating power-surges that got the fan after a while.

ALSO:
Give me a topic and I'll list my top 5 things. If it's pictures I'll provide them, same with songs. It can be anything you want, be creative.

Here I go. Another 4-8 weeks and I'll do you the Ianto Jones (we already share a birth month) - but without the bad poetry, haven't written any bad poetry (save for Ianto!poetry for fanfic) in months.
Guess who gave the kitchen a sweep yesterday? Ah, you remember, don't you?
And tomorrow is big cleaning, too.
Today I was ironing (does Ianto iron? I bet he does, his father's a tailor) and guess what was on, after "Christmas Invasion" on Tuesday and "Runaway Bride" yesterday? Riiiiight!
"Voyage of the Damned"! I can't help but love it.
Guess what Jayne said? A friend of hers works on DW as a make-up artist. (For concerns regarding everyone's mental health I will leave out the part of her mentioning that maybe we could meet said friend for lunch or something.)

And guess what Nick said this morning? (For you TW freaks out there, remember a night at a cliff sometime?)
He said (again) that Torchwood's been shooting in Penarth quite often and that they once had a Second Assistant Director on one of the eps (they have an agency for behind the camera people). So they went and watched a bit and (here we go, brace yourself), "We met John Barrowman then. And his dogs, you know, in his trailer."
All this was interrupted by spoons full of porridge in Duke's mouth, but still. I didn't breathe while he was talking.

Also, Nick's wisdom of the week was, "You don't have to be mad to live in this house, but it does help."
