OMGOMGOMGOMG! I'm a minority! And not nationality wise...
Jayne's friend Steve and his boyfriend, Rene (from Ost-Berlin), are totally cool, but also... well, the clichés are sorta true. Everyone wants to give me a make-over. Of course someone told them 'bout me being a lesbian so there were Canadian lumberjack shirt-jokes flying around.
I think that Jayne didn't like Rene before she met him 'cause she told me Steve and someone else had been together for like forever and they just split up like that.
But I have to give Rene that he was totally cute with Duke and really helpful. I had to make an effort to keep up with him. XD
Anyway, but just the idea of them makes me miss my
Jules .
Rene and I had a short conversation about you, sweety, when he asked me if I had a girl waiting back home for me. *sniffs*holdsbacktears*
Also, I was just having my bowl of cottage cheese (excellent protein source, though mozzarella is better) when Nick came in the kitchen and thanked me for helping out today (I got a nice supper for it, though no dessert because nobody seemed to want any) and told me I was brilliant.
Which, honestly, I wasn't. I looked after Duke for 1,5 hours this morning, helped with supper and cleaned a bit up afterwards... that's part of my job and the natural thing to do (the cleaning after dinner - someone cooks and someone else cleans up) - even if it's my day off.
Or is it just me and I should give myself a bit more credit for my work? *puzzled*
